Leadership

The people who make it manufacturable.

Solua is led by scientists, operators and quality leaders who have spent their careers at the difficult intersection of biology and manufacturing — and who chose to build a CDMO around the patient, not the process chart.

Dr. Elena Vasquez

Chief Executive Officer

A cell-therapy process scientist turned operator, Elena founded Solua after two decades shepherding living medicines from bench to commercial supply. She keeps the company anchored to a single question: will this reach the patient?

Dr. Marcus Okonkwo

Chief Scientific Officer

Marcus leads Solua's science across cell, vector and EV modalities. A pioneer of closed-system processing, he architected the Coherra™ platform around the conviction that consistency is engineered, not hoped for.

Priya Ramachandran

Chief Operating Officer

Priya runs Solua's three GMP facilities and the network that connects them. Her focus is reliable, scalable operations — turning brilliant processes into batches that ship on time, every time.

Dr. James Hartley

VP, Quality & Compliance

James owns the harmonized quality system that spans development to commercial. A veteran of more than a dozen regulatory inspections, he treats inspection readiness as a daily discipline rather than a fire drill.

Dr. Yuki Tanaka

VP, Analytical & Bioassay Sciences

Yuki builds the assays that decide what can be released. Her teams specialize in mechanism-relevant potency methods for therapies that defy conventional measurement, from iPSC-derived cells to engineered vesicles.

David Chen

VP, Regulatory Affairs & CMC

David translates process and analytical science into defensible regulatory strategy. He has guided programs through pre-licensing inspections and first commercial approvals across multiple jurisdictions.

Dr. Amara Keita

VP, Business Development & Partnerships

Amara is the first scientist most partners meet. With a research background in viral vectors, she scopes programs honestly — matching ambition to what the biology and the timeline can actually support.

Our philosophy

Partners, not vendors.

"A CDMO holds something irreplaceable — sometimes a single patient's own cells. We never forget that the batch on our floor is somebody's best hope."

That mindset shapes how we hire, how we run the floor, and how we talk to the regulators who hold us accountable.
